The Big Swap in King Street

During Fairtrade Fortnight 2010, a stall was set up outside M &S, King St to encourage passers-by to agree to change at least one of their regular brands for a Fairtrade brands.  A particualr focus was on tea, with a large tea mug as a visual aid.

Fairtrade chocolate (kindly supplied bythe Co-op) was available to tempt people to stop.  Over 100  pledges were obtained in Jersey, over 1 million in the UK during the Fortnight.

 

 

Over 100 people signed up to agree to swap on of their regular brands to a Fairtrade brand.   The most  swaps concerned  tea and chocolate with coffee and sugar not far behind.
